In Memoriam: Mike Sharp Memorial services were held Sept. 10 in Corona, California, for Mike Sharp (Class of ’96, B.A., Business), former assistant golf coach, and a former student-athlete who was honored with the CSUDH Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in his senior year. Sharp was killed Sept. 6 while at his job at a car dealership. Since graduating from Dominguez Hills, he has spent most of his time working at the Get-A-Grip Foundation, a youth mentoring program in Corona. Sharp is survived by his wife, Katie, who is expecting their first child in January. An account has been set up to support Sharp’s unborn daughter, Alexis Michael.
