Alumni Invited “Home,” October 7-8 Homecoming starts Friday, Oct. 7 with a soccer double-header followed by an evening with fellow alumni and President James E. Lyons, Sr. at the Penthouse Skybox at the Radisson Hotel at LAX. The annual Homecoming Barbecue will be held in campus’ Sculpture Garden on Saturday, Oct. 8. The Homecoming festivities kick off when the reigning CCAA conference champion Toro Women’s Soccer Team takes the field at 12:30 pm vs. Chico State. At 3 p.m., the Toro Men’s Team, ranked 15th in the country in the preseason poll, will challenge the Wild¬cats. Tickets for both games are $5. Then, Friday evening’s Come Home Celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Pent¬house Skybox Room of the Radisson Hotel at Los Angeles Airport. Join fellow alumni at President Lyons’ VIP reception along with Alumni Association President Marlene Boyden-Boykin. There is no charge to attend the reception, but alumni must RSVP by Oct. 3. The hotel is located at 6225 West Century Blvd. Saturday, Oct. 8 is a day for alumni families at the annual Homecoming Barbecue. There will be food, music, prizes, children’s entertainment and lots of time to visit and catch up with old professors and friends.
