Bragg, CBAPP ASSOCIATE DEAN
Bragg starts her new role within CBAPP on Aug. 20.
Bragg Appointed New Associate Dean
Kaye Bragg describes herself as a “mass-transit person,” meaning she likes the opportunities to interact with those around her in trains and subways. It’s a symbolic way of understanding how she has worked with her colleagues at CSU Bakersfield (CSUB) for the past 18 years as a teacher and administrator – not in a bubble like a car moving alongside them on a highway at 65 miles per hour, but working alongside them to mold decisive action. When she begins her new role as CBAPP’s associate dean later this month, she will rely on such skills as a key member of the CBAPP team moving toward AACSB accreditation and as the primary administrator responsible for both learning assessment and pushing the undergraduate programs forward. Special Summer Series: Going Green
Throughout the summer, 10 Questions will be devoted to the intersections of business, public policy, and the environment.

10 Questions…on PG&E as a Green Business Leader for Jennifer Zerwer
Providing natural gas and electricity for most of central and northern California, Pacific Gas & Electric is one of the largest utilities in the country. Its size and the inherent governing oversight as a utility would suggest it would be far from a leader in expanding societal norms, yet PG&E is considered one of a handful of organizations pushing the nation’s environmental envelope. Here, Jennifer Zerwer of the utility’s environmental team details some of groundbreaking efforts they are making, how the utility’s uncommon business model allows them to be so committed to going green, and whether their strides might rub off on the private sector. M.B.A. Online Gets CNN.com Endorsement
A recent story on CNNMoney.com dealt with the common challenge many people face when evaluating graduate-level online programs: How do you know if the program is legitimate? Of the reported 350 different M.B.A. programs in cyberspace, CSUDH was positioned as not only a worthy program, but one of the finest available in the world. The story went on to quote Distance Learning Program Director Warren Ashley and further hail CSUDH’s programs as one of the most affordable and robust by GetEducated.com.
