Manufacturing Corporation Donates $23,000 In-Kind to CBAPP Several tables were given to CBAPP last month by Virco Manufacturing Corporation. The largest manufacturer of educational furniture in the country based in Torrance, Virco’s in-kind contribution totals $23,400. The tables will be help complete one of the college’s state of the art graduate studies classrooms. As Kenneth Poertner, director of graduate programs, explained, the donation came at a critical time after budget cuts had prevented CBAPP from completing the room. “We are very thankful for this gift from Virco. It represents the final and much needed component in providing a large, state of the art mediated classroom for graduate students in the College,” Poertner said. “Their generosity, especially during this time of budget cuts, is indicative of a strong commitment by the business community toward the College and to this University.” The company has demonstrated their commitment to other colleges at CSUDH as well – delivering in-kind gifts to the College of Education earlier this semester. |
