CSUDH Named 2006 Millennium Momentum Ambassador of Education
In December, CSUDH received the Ambassador of Education Award at the
Millennium Momentum Foundation’s (MMF) Third Annual Opening Doors
Scholarship Awards. Because the honor is bestowed upon the one university
that has proven to be particularly committed to its public policy programs
and students within those programs, the honor thus serves as a direct
reflection of CBAPP’s focus on helping its students succeed.
(L-R) CSUDH Foundation Board of
Directors Chair Del Huff and President James E. Lyons, Sr. accepted the award
from MMF Founder and CEO Jason Seward.

free trade agreements (FTAs) with smaller countries. Meanwhile, the FTA that
affects us most of all – NAFTA – is out of date. Steve Jenner, professor of
management, presented a paper at the International Business & Economy Conference
in San Francisco last month arguing just that. Here, he examines how the
agreement falls short even though it has achieved its main goals and what the
world must learn from it in the ongoing race to sign more FTAs.
