CBAPP Hosts Inaugural Business Conference on Online Teaching
In late November, CBAPP brought together 75 practitioners for the CSU System’s first-ever CSU Business Conference on Online Teaching and Learning. The two-day event, staged in the Loker Student Union, was focused on giving CSU faculty the tools and skills they need to successfully teach undergraduate curriculum in the dynamic learning environment that is the online classroom. With almost 30 sessions held over the two days, attendees and speakers represented faculty from 16 of the 23 CSU campuses, several key people from the Chancellor’s Office, and Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT), which is an online forum where teachers share ideas and tools for teaching online. The non-profit takes a case-specific, on-the-ground approach to finding healthcare solutions in Africa and other parts of the world. Here, Katzenstein explains how most non-profits go at fixing healthcare issues in the wrong way and how technology might be healthcare’s future best friend. Full story

CSUDH got hot at the right time as the Toros posted a 13-game unbeaten streak that ended with the final win in the national championship game, including five-consecutive wins in a dominant NCAA postseason in which they outscored their opponents 15-3, and posted three wins via shutout.
