Apply for the Joseph M. Kennick Scholarship

Criminal Justice Administration majors are invited to apply for the Joseph M. Kennick Scholarship award of $500.
The award will be based on career goals or research interests in criminal justice administration. 

Scholarship Eligibility:

• Criminal Justice Administration major
• An undergraduate student in Criminal Justice Administration and planning to attend at least one semester in the 2009-2010 academic year.
• Commitment to attend the Public Administration Honors Banquet on April 17, 2009, (if selected)

Application Procedure:

A student may apply for the Joseph M. Kennick scholarship by completing the application form supplied by the Public Administration department.  To be considered for this scholarship, the student needs to write an essay that includes a description of their interest and career commitment to the criminal justice field.  A statement of other pertinent information may be included. (max. 2 pages)  Application and essay may be sent electronically to Prof. Marie Palladini at mpalladini@csudh.edu

Deadline:

All applications must be received by Thursday, March 19, 2009.  A decision will be made by Monday, April 6, 2009.  This scholarship recipient must attend the Public Administration Honor’s Banquet on Friday, April 17, 2009 to receive the award from a Kennick family member.
