We are thrilled that you are interested in looking at our outstanding College of Business Administration and Public Policy, its faculty and its programs. Following, you will find information about us. However, if you do not find an answer to your question, please email it to me and I’ll see that someone responds quickly.
Our primary objective in all of our undergraduate programs is twofold: First, to prepare you to obtain an entry level professional position that will "quick start" your career, and second to develop the life long learning skills that you will need to continue to progress and succeed in your chosen field. We do not believe that learning is a spectator sport in the College of Bus. and Pub. Policy. All of our courses are designe
d to maximize all forms of interactive hands on learning, such as collaborative learning, mediated learning, service learning, etc. We engage the student with the material as quickly as possible in the course.
The majority of our students are from the South Bay area; therefore, you will develop a network with peers and alumni that will serve you well throughout your career.
Our primary objective in our graduate programs is the development of the skills, capabilities, and opportunities to assume positions as general managers. These positions typically are associated with upward career mobility in the organization and involve responsibility and accountability for significant pools of resources such as technology, customers, employees and financial assets.
As you would expect, our faculty all have significant industry and/or practical experience in their background, and they remain on the cutting edge of their field through applied research or consultancies. Consequently, as you look through the faculty credentials in each program of study, you will see why we are proud of our faculty, their academic preparation, and quality of their experience. We believe the blending of these two education and experience, permits a rich learning experience unmatched by other universities in the Los Angeles basin.
The constants in the College of Business and Public Policy are first a commitment to excellence in the teaching and learning experience, and second a focus on the development of every student no matter what the program of study or the vehicle or venue of delivery. We believe business leaders do not just respond to the future – they must create the future. We at the CSUDH College of Business and Public Policy believe our responsibility is to "Educate the leaders who shape the future". Don’t just react to your future, come join us and help shape your future!
